Use a magnet (with a cloth or something to avoid scratches or do it on the inside) since aluminium isn't magnetic while a regular steel bonnet is.
Don't know about newages but the classics should only have an alloy bonnet if it's a JDM import.

Got my dampers today and they looked great.
I'm not sure if I have installed the adapters correctly because now when the bonnet is closed it lookes like it doesn't line up with the front wings as good as before (I'm picky about details though ). It might get a bit better after that the dampers have been used for a while I guess.
Also 25 Nm to tighten the alloy bonnet hinge bolts seems a bit high since I started to strip the threads. 20 Nm would probably be enough. Also longer bolts would be good if you are supposed to use both of those black washers.
A couple of pics if someone wants to see what they look like installed. Very happy with them overall, thanks for this GB

Glad to hear you've got them Turbovin
Let them settle for a while and then re-adjust the brackets on the bonnet slightly.
Best thing is to ditch the big black washers and just use the Shakeproof (star) washer!
Thanks for letting us know about the torque setting, things like that are handy to know!
Each Instruction manual is different for every car and it lists the factory torque settings for that model, but we can ammend that.
Many Thanks
Simon

Here is one more from Sweden that maybe is interested. I tried the discount-code on your website, but it doesn't work when EU delivery is selected?
Would the total cost be the same as for Turbovin?
£59.49 + £3.95 for the dampers
£9.99 for the shipping to Sweden
(incl taxes)
Cheers
Jerry
