Default Train Horn Group Buy - make sure your heard!

I'm starting a group buy on the following kit

This is how they sound as fitted to a Scoob belonging to *Nate*

YouTube - Subaru WRX Train Horn

And how they are mounted:-

As for alternative fitment, I'll be mounting mine between the rear bumper hangers and the bumper skin. Also means less cabling to feed through the car.

Theres also the added benefit of having an air compressor on the car for track days etc. (Air and tools)

Dimensions of the horns and compressor are as follows:-

The dimensions of the horns are roughly 15 inches long by 6 inches wide by 6 inches tall.

The compressor is about 8 and a half inches tall by 6 and a half inches wide by 16 inches long.

The kits will be $180 each and once we get (I hope) 10 people we can get a deal done on the shipping costs. I suggest that shipping be to each persons address rather than to one address and then shipped on within the UK (Just adds extra cost IMO)

Even with taxes, I would hope a final price would be around $300 which works out at a little over £150. Seems a lot for a horn but I spent more on my dump valve which is just as useful And these are louder!

So if your interested PM me for any details or questions. If your not interested please don't bugger the thread up with unhelpful comments

So:-

1. EddScott

2. *Nate* Horn Only (but only 'Hammer 3's' are needed by me)

I will be having the 'Anvil' kit still in situ, standard and hopefully 'Hammer 3s' .. All switched, so I can choose which to use

Please note, that using the 'Anvil' kit, you will only be able to use 2 of the 3 horns supplied, and this was the only place BIG enough to install them !!!

The kit EddScott is GB'ing is the Hammer 3 which is more compact, and a slightly different tone (but still bloody loud !!!! )

Where did you get the mesh fronts shown on that photo and are they available for the classic?

Good stuff guys
wish someone had done a GB when i got mine
been running anvil and hammer, have sold the anvil with the 3 ltr compressor though now and just run a hammer in the old backbox space so no-one can see it-just the one is still enough to scare the **** out of people

if you are planning on running more than one horn you will need more air!
