Default SIGMA ECU:

I have been running one of these ECUs on my 95 WRX Wagon for several months now and I am very impressed. They have been developed by Steve Simpson Motorsport of Carnforth, North Lancs. The spec is :-

24 X 24 3D Fuel and ign maps
3D boost map. No Requirement for seperate EBC (i.e. AVC-R)
Individual cylinder trims for Fuel and Ignition
0.25 degrees ignition resolution
Charge temperature ignition and fuel correction tables
MAP based load calculation - MAF not required
Adjustable Pressure and RPM breakpoints
Will utilise exisiting MAP Sensor or Any aftermarket version (Delco, Bosch etc)
2 switchable fuel, ignition and boost maps
Closed loop lambda
Closed loop idle control
A/C supported with auto shut off above defined throttle angle
Live mapping
Gear shift light - uses CEL
Fuel and ignition based rev limiters (Soft & Hard with adjustable agression)
Supports water injection.
Model years 1993 -1998 WRX, STi, Legacy.

RRP is £995 plus VAT and includes the ECU, Installation including Air Temperature Sensor in the intercooler, Dyno AND Road mapping session.

For a minimum 10 units the agreed price is £800 plus VAT for purchase within the terms of the Group Buy. This is a cracking deal for a top notch piece of equipment.

Additional cost option Anti-Lag System.

Two Stage - ALS with air bypass valve only or Jacked open throttle + ABV operation.
3D Ignition Retard, fuel cut and spark cut for ALS. Cost £150 plus VAT.

Installation and mapping will take place at Carnforth utilising Steve's Dyno Dynamics Rolling Road facility. To participate in this great opportunity please add your name below :

Hi Scott : Anyone purchasing the ECU, which will be fitted by Steve Simpson Motorsport will have the facility to obtain the software if they are capable of operating it. The cost is included in the package.
I would add that the software is, in my opinion, user friendly.
The ECU will not be sold on its own but only as part of the overall package so you won't get an ECU and then be able to fit it yourself.

Seems like a very capable ECU for its price...
Do they do one for a V5/6 STi?
I'd be very tempted to ditch the AFM.

Charlesk : It is a VERY capable ECU. Unfortunately it is for M/Y 93-98. The reason for this is that Ecutek is available M/Y 99 onwards and it was felt the biggest void in the market place should be dealt with first.

Stu : Ver 4 STi 4 is a good candidate.
As my friend RRH has pointed out, all Group Buy fitting will take place at Steve Simpson Motorsport, just off the M6 Junction 35 North Lancs.
The ECU will be fitted and mapped on the Dyno Dynamics rolling road facility and the map will then be tweaked with a bit of road mapping.

The Group Buy is exactly what it says. To achieve the preferential price of £800 plus vat we need a minimum of ten people. If there are not ten people the GB cannot proceed.
If you want to pay the full list price, £995 plus vat, then phone up and get one outwith the G.B.
This GB could have been launched earlier, just that to get the cracking price took a bit of time to organise.

They have been removed.

This is a group buy thread not a "Group Bitch" or "Group **** Stir" thread.

Shaun.

Would you need a different MAP sensor to run over 1.1 bar on the early classics?

Can run up to 1.2 bar on OEM sensor.Above that we use a Delco 3 Bar (Absolute) sensor.
