if you've got an STI (for its heads) then pretty much. it'll get you going anyway. then turbo, injectors, fuel pump, power fc, headers, 3" straight through, FMIC lol

You don't need STi heads, UK heads are a direct fit.

So that's just over £1050.... now that's a good price

Can they offer a gasket set and how much is carriage? And as above, how many are needed?

Tone,
Don't bother with an EJ257 gasket set!!
If you buy the EJ257 set, you end up with head gaskets too thin and a load of Ver 8/9 stuff (all the internal block seals, tumble generator gaskets etc)

The gaskets you need are:
Head gasket - spec'd to the heads to get the correct comp. ratio
Water pump gasket
Water cross pipe gaskets
Cam shaft seals
Sump oil return 'O' ring
Cam cover seals - Depends on MY
Inlet man. gaskets - Again depends on MY

Probably missed a few

I spoke to Knowlesy at xtreme about this group buy today and he said it would need between 20/30 people to go ahead obviously the more people the lower the price will become.

I'll give him a call tomorrow to see if he has a price yet.

between 20 or 30!

so its not really a goer then.

more likely 5 to 10 is a better price to ask for

Just a thought, if you can make to 20/30 needed speak to ron at axis power racing. He supplied the last 2.5 group buy im sure he can help , and the prices were nearly the same.

Axis's stage two engine works out about £1150 plus shipping and taxes (block above is £1050 inc shipping and vat) but includes forged CP pistons instead of the standard items.... wounder what deal they could do on 20 of those then?????

May e-mail them on Monday if nobody already has done.

Have you tried Crawford because I have been looking at their 2.5's with forged pistons. The forged piston option is far better IMHO and definately worth the extra money while your doing the job.

I second the Axis power racing suggestion. Fitted one in my P1 sometime ago - no problems at all. Came with cross drillled crank and high pressure oil pump too.
