I have the 2.5 litre, standard VF28 turbo. No flow issues upgrading to that level running at 1.4 Bar boost. - will rev to 9,000 without issue if I wanted too. (limit set on mine to 8500) No noticeable drop off in power at the top end.

Mappable after market ecu Apexi/Link/Gems etc.
A Td05 20g should make 400 on a 2.5 or something like a Garret hybrid that fits in the std position unless you want to buy new up/downpipes etc.
550cc+ injectors.
3" turbo back exhaust.
Headers or at least ported std ones.
Big tmic or fmic.
Decent induction kit with some sort of heat shield.
A good clutch AP/Exedy
And at some point a new gearbox as 400lb/ft will eat yours if abused.
And probably some other odd and sods.

As for the heads they will be fine there's people making more than 400 on std UK heads.
After market ECU is NOT needed.
Gearbox is not needed on STi or P1 - the Jap spec. boxes are already strong enough, standard UK ones will get mangled though.

$1535.21, what taxes etc. would need to be added on to that price please? i aint got a clue
Going to the trouble of importing and you want to get a standard 2.5 block?? Forget that. Get something designed to take abuse and be reliable at high power levels: http://axispowerracing.net/stage3motor.html

This is what myself and Mark have, also with an uprated oil pump.

What sort of power figures are you guys getting on the Axis motor. I've been dreaming of one of these for a while either stage3 or 4

Im not anything extreme - prob running 350bhp on a P1 with a standard turbo, but uprated equal length headers, 3" Janspeed exhaust, induction, clutch, dump valve, 740 cc injectors, fuel pump, regulator. Expect a little more when I fit my FMIC but will be Turbo limited.

I would think 500 is easily obtainable if you want to fit a large turbo and the above.

Would you mind PM'ing me a few details like the costs involved in importing an axis motor. I really fancy going for that and then a Garret GT turbo and try for 500 horsies lol

Ask Mark who organised the last Axis Point group buy - he mentions it earlier in the thread.
