Default Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Hi All,

Just about to go ahead with a few little mods and thinking that a FPR might be a good idea. Looking around there seems to be a HUGE variety and vast price differences, from £25 to RCM at about £350 inc the fitting kit.
Can anybody recommend some options please and suppliers too if possible?

Thanks

A decent one will set you back about £100. Don't be tempted to get cheap ones as a leak can be fatal to your engine and entire car...

There are some very crap fakes on ebay so I would avoid buying there unless its from a known retailer. Generally they all do the same thing. You will need a gauge to set it and make sure its glycerin filled.

I have a Sard from nengun. Great bit of kit but the fakes on ebay are crap and spray fuel everywhere.

Thanks FMJ, I am having trouble finding something from non-ebay suppliers in the 'reasonable' price band, they all seem to be well over £200+ mark.

I have been told by various specialists the two "affordable" options are either fuelab or turbosmart.

Can you post what your power/spec intentions are so someone with more experience can tell you exactly what you'll need.

A FPR is not necessary on a mild build.
If you want to fit one be sure to buy a normal 1:1 rate regulator, a rising rate one is a b***h to map.

In that case you'll need a FPR, as I believe 550's at stock fuel pressure will not flow enough to support a billet 20G.
