Default Strange knocking noise

Hi, lately I have had a strange knocking noise coming from what sounds like the rear drivers side every time I hit a bump, at any speed.
It's been getting louder over the last 4 days. There is no dodgy feeling to the steering and no vibrations. It happens on the very slightest of bumps all the time. Its on a 54 plate blobeye wrx.
Does any one have any ideas to what it could be? Hope someone can help?

Sounds like the top mount or a dried out shock absorber.

Nothing unusual either, my STi blob did it, and so does my Spec D Hawk.
It's the chocolate grease used inside the shock absorber itself which dries out - rubbish stuff, and I'm surprised the Japs didn't sort this out for the Hawks.

There is a grease nipple mod, loads on here / Youtube about it.

This allows decent grease to be pumped in as an when.

You can replace with OEM shocks of course, but no doubt the same will happen again. Such a silly yet so common problem.
