Default Oven or hair dryer?

Just a quick one, in the process of de-tangoing my blobeye headlights,
Don't want to mess it up so would you recommend using a hair dryer or putting in oven, also the clips at the bottom seem a bit tough to unclip and the mastic seems very tough aswell

Cheers

Oven..the hair dryer will only soften one bit, could lead to it deforming, or cracking.

Start at a low temp, short time, keep increasing both until it works.

Oven -100 degrees celsius for 10 mins to soften sealant. When you are done removing orange lens pop back in the oven for 5 mins at 100 degrees celsius and reseal. Done loads of them.

Followed the guides here 1st time round (for Hawkeye but temps just the same for Blob)

A friend did mine with a hairdryer.. heatgun is better if you have one but it works absolutely fine. Safer than the oven. Just keep going round it and pulling it apart .

Oven - and if you don't have one with low temps don't worry. You just have to keep an eye on it and control the temperature yourself.

Did the blob headlights here in a oven at 180º degrees (didn't have a oven with lower temp) without pre-heating, and took about 10 minutes. Worked perfectly.

And if it's a fan oven, adjust cooking time according to manufacturers instructions
