Looking to swap my Nur Spec for something with a different tone - it always sounds like it's fluttering and blowing, which I've found with the Nur Spec on my MR2 as well. Maybe because decat?

Just after some recommendations for alternatives - at the moment as soon as I use more than 10% throttle I get the raspy 'bite' is the only way I can describe it, which I'm just not a fan of. Sounds awesome when you want to hoon but most of the time I'm commuting through town So does anyone want a Nur Spec system?

I love the sound of this, but not sure if it just has that muffled grumble because of the snow absorbing the higher frequencies. If anyone knows what exhaust then that would be awesome

Not so keen on HKS or Afterburner from videos, but maybe they sound different in person?

I don't mind it being loud, just after a different tone. More of a growl please!

 

Oh, This is bad timing! I have a japspeed system that I just sold to buy a nur spec lol, would have been better for you I think as its the raspyness I was looking for haha!

 

Fujitsubo Power Getter for sale here , just a tad loud for track days otherwise a keeper.. And it's my 4th Fujitsubo exhaust system, pure quality....

 

I dont wanna swap but you can come to hear mine, invidia n1 similar to blitz (i think but did not hear it on newage-youtube only or live on classic) more burble I think.

 

Why dont you get a custom back box made? Tell them how you want it to sound and it should be pretty close if they're any good, or try a cobra sport exhaust ( exhausts uk ) I have had these in the past and they sound like the first video you put up. You tube them and have a listen.

Out of all the suggestions I like the Invidia the best, but am going to keep searching. The money I had set aside is now going on a new subframe.. If it comes down to it I might just fab my own up - probably Cobra silencer with 3" shotgun pipes

I love loud exhausts, my favourite being the Blitz Nur Spec, but that vid posted above is just stupid loud, I had the RCM Team Ice pipe on my Type R and the neighbors windows would rattle it was that loud, lasted 2 days and had to come off as it was plain silly!!!

 

Hi Power still has that fluttery-whispy sound, and not grumbly enough
