Oil Temp Dropping to minimum.
Hey,
Was hoping to pick up a little help, i bought my 56 plate hawkeye 2.5 turbo wrx back in feb. and have since had a lot of problems. Firstly, a month after getting the car I had to replace the short motor an clutch. Not long after this, the car developed fault , which led to an extreme hesitation around 2500 rpm. This turned out to be an air fuel sensor and I had it replaced. This was around 3 to 4 month ago. In the last few weeks I have found that the hesitation is coming back again and what is slightly more worrying that on the motorway the otherday while traveling around 80-90 my oil temp gauge went cold and all air blowing into the car was cold.
Excuse my lack of knowledge, but i love my car an just want her running sweet again. Any ideas on where to start?? As otherwise i feel this is going to hurt my pocket AGAIN..... £6500 so far in repairs
Thanks all

Sounds like an air-lock in the coolant, but I'm unsure as to whether it would show up on the OIL temperature gauge?
What other gauges do you have fitted, and what make?
WHERE is the oil temperature sender fitted?

It's a standard 2.5 turbo wrx, so all of the gauges an sensors should still be in the original position. I wanted to see if there was any thoughts within the community before going back to nobles Subaru
You sure u not mix up oil temp with coolant temp gauge?
as far as i remember there is not oil temp gauge on the dash from factory only coolant one.Cold air blowing from heater seems like may be issue with coolant system, may be air lock or thermostat, worse scenario another 2.5 engine going **** up.

Coolant temp then

.Check the radiator hoses top and bottom ones(big black fat *****)top should be hot same bottom(bottom may be not that hot as coolant going thru radiator)if bottom is cold you may have problem with sticky thermostat and need replace, other option try to get rid air lock(proper directions how to do it you will find in here somewhere),if that not help you may go more forward steps and do snif test etc,im sure someone here will gave u a more accurate directions

Nothing as yet been repaired from any of those. I did check the coolant levels an they were low but not below min.
There is a strange hesitation when accelerating at low revs too.
Thanks for the help guys but I think I'm going to have to just put in to Subaru...
