Just had BC coilovers fitted to my STi 5 4-door...

How the hell do you get access to the rears, for adjusting?

Do you have to move the rear seats or something? If so, how on earth do you do that?!

Thanks in advance from Mr Frustrated lol

In my set of bc coilovers it came with rear extenders that stick up behind the rear seat to adjust them.

Yeah, was aware of them. Forgot to get them when the struts were fitted.

Will get some for future use - thanks. About £30 right?

Dave at API has just emailed me how to remove the two seat parts, so all good.

Hi fella, to remove the rear seats there's 2 bolts above the rear foot wells, remove those and the bottom part of the rear seat can be removed, then remove a further 3 bolts holding back part in and lift the seat up as it's located on 3 hook type brackets and remove

I ordered the extenders with my BC's from Scoobyworld and ended up cutting them down as they were rubbing on the rear window making a tapping noise when driving

- Thanks csf - that's great!

- Yes jay, that's what APIDavid has said too. And many thanks for the extenders shortening tip.

When you remove both seat parts, is it easy to get at the strut tops (obviously without the extenders in place)? Or is it still a faff?

Once u remove the rear bench ( think its 4 bolts ) u will see the adjusters for the coilovers and the extenders just sit on top held in place with a little Alan key screw very easy to fit.

One bit of advice though messure ruffly how how far 1 turn is by the writing on the top of the adjuster as once u put the seats back inplace some times its quite difficult to judge the click on the ajuster as its so tight between the parcel shelf and the back seat.. If ur abit unsure u will no what I mean once uve fitted them

I get the drift of what you're saying, mate.

Thanks for all the advice. To everyone.

Didn't realise that.

I've already ordered the Scoobyworld ones... Which I suspect are the 'long' version....(?)

Adjusters have arrived - they are the long version.

Will see if they clatter against the windows at the weekend....

Despite being the long ones, I wedged mine inboard as far as they would go (so they are at an angle, leaning towards the centre of the car).

No rattling against the window!
