15 litres = 50 miles? That's 15 MPG, either you're really enjoying it or there is something not quite right!

You will never gauge it like that. You should at least fill it up then drive around then fill it back up again to get a realistic measurement. Of course this is never totally correct but it's the best way.

unmapped mods is your problem, i wouldnt worry about the mpg as your gettting overboost due to the decat and the engine is about to self destruct at 2.0 bar.

the engine rebuild will be its next mod

but unmapped mods are your problem, the fact its spiking to two bar indicates something is wrong so i wouldnt worry about mpg and worry about why your engine is killing itself by hitting 2.0 bar.

unmapped mods kill imprezas regardless of if thats the main problem it will certainly contribute to it.

How do you know it's going to 2 bar boost?

Whilst you're at it, get rid of the MBC!

And I am getting mapped
I asked a few mappers and they said fit all stuff I want to fit
Eg exhaust
Front mount
Airfilter
Then have car mapped to everything
I don't use car everyday
Only used this week and will park it up again till mapped

to put this into realistic terms mine is a W Reg turbo 2000 i have a centre decat, green cotton air filter, and VTA dump valve(previous owner dont flame me) and PPP remap, mines doing 29/31 driven sensibly, but i get about 27 on my commute, which is 70mph on the motorway and some traffic, with a hill, and a town centre to travel though, so short answer is yes its broken. you are having boost issues due to your straight through system, get it sorted mate or your going to be having bigger issues than boost.

take care.

your other alternate is to return it to standard if you only lightly use it, then save all the parts up then pay a tuner to fit them all and map it at same time.

They must be ****!

Anyone worth their salt would have pulled the MBC off and thrown it in the bin.

Get rid of that for starters, put the boost control back to standard.

The car never came with cat
And when I remove mbc and put it bk to standard boost controller
Thats when problem happens
And I borrowed all standard parts including cat off my mate who was breaking
His and still the same
I will fit all my parts and book in for map
But will leave car on drive till then

When I brought car
The lad said he removed exhaust system as his uncle wanted it
But it had air filter on it
Dumpvalve
Equal length headers (which I removed)
And looks like it had a front mount on b4
As all plastic from drivers inner wing has been removed
So it could of been mapped I dont no
But 110% I will get it mapped

because it releases more power after a remap, zero problems with my decat. the problems arise when you chuck parts on ***** nilly with no remap,
