I know it sounds a bit extreme but my engine builder recommended that the spark plugs are removed when the oil is changed! As it would have no compression it would not stress the big end bearings.
I have done quite a few oil changes on my scoobies in the past but never taken the plugs out - just filled the new filter and removed the crank position sensor while I turn it over to get the pressure up.
Never had any issues with oil changes doing this...takes an age to fill it though.
Thats it. It does take more than youd expect and a fair bit of swirling to get the oil round into all the cavity in the filter.
Im running a syvecs too which is set to crank a few times to check sensors before it fires.
Probably worth me saying this is just my 2p! I dont expect any stick for it or blame if someone follows suit and trys to make out theyve dropped a bigun as a result.
