Hi all - my main dealer wants an arm and several legs to check / adjust the tappets - which to be fair have done 140k without attention. They say it can't be done without shifting the engine out.... can anyone recommend an independent specialist in either NW or NE England (live in one, work in the other) who could do a good job on this for sensible money?

I love this car, it's fast comfortable and capable - I'd hate to lose it and frankly with a high mileage it's worth very little in the market place...
