hello all. i think i have dont some thing bad to my car . over the week end i have fitted a new down pipe and headers and up pipe. running fine till last nite pulled up to some traffic lights and the car just died on me .went to try and start it but just clicked.got it recoverd back to my house. put a big bar on the crank to turn it over.can only turn it over 1/4 of a turn and its rock hard.i didnt hear any funny noise when i was driving it.but the clutch has been slipping every so offened but i would of thought that would cause a problem. can anyone tell me if they have had this probslem be???

Has the starter packed in and got stuck while engaging the flywheel? Take the starter out and try turning the engine over by hand.

 

What car is it? I assume you have gone for a full decat, & if so was it mapped for this?

 

ive got a spare starter motor for sale came off a 99 uk 2000 turbo...

 

a bent rod will do that lol

can you rotate it with the bar in the opposite direction?
