Default rear crank seal

my car has been stood for a long time, with no oil leak what so ever. but recently moving it/driving it a mile its started to leak oil, is the rear crank seal a big job as this is what I gather it is

thanks kyle

It's a fairly big job. gearbox and flywheel out. I would try some wynns stop leak first. I've had success sealing rear main oil leaks on other cars before. It revitalises the rubber seals. Just add it to the oil and drive. It can take a couple of weeks to work.

I'd consider the oil separator plate too, my car was stood for a year and started leaking from there now that its being used again. For the moment, it can leak all it wants as I can't be arsed fixing it yet

Leaks in that area can also be coming from turbo oil drain too, it can run down block and appear from bell housing area, which is a smaller job to fix

Would the engine being overfilled with oil cause any leaks around the same area?

Try draining some out and see. Never seen it on a Subaru but it could. take some oil out and add some stop leak in while your there.
