what the diffrence
hi i have recently bought a 2009 330s and was wondering what the diffrence in the exhaust between the 330s and the standard sti.. i know the 330s has a prodrive backbox at least but i read some where that ppp cars have a downpipe with a sports cat in is the 330s the same or is it just a back box / cat back because tbh it not realy very loud. basicaly if i wanted to re-map the car would i have to buy a decat down pipe or is the standard one good enough
Many Thanks Alex

My standard downpipe was fine at 350 but i have a hawk, as far as im aware there isnt much difference between the 330 and standard exhausts, personally i wouldnt go down the decat route as next mot youll be asking us who mots decat motors, get a decent non oily panel filter, and it should be fine, otherwise get a down pipe with a sports cat

does the standard exhaust not have 2cats a pre cat in the down pipe and another further down. i thought thats how most turbo cars were now days... so i can get a de cat down pipe and still have the other cat so i can still pass emissions test .. or are scoobys diffrent ??

Just for reference I’m now running 414 hp through the standard 330s cat back with an rim catless downpipe , she sounds like Concorde in full boost so much jet noise but she’s holding up ok 😬
