ok what exactly is the diffrence in these 2
the diffrences i know about, are ovb the power ratings

lets take my my97 as an example
whats diffrent from my engine to say my mates uk my97
im told the wrx runs more boost as standerd?
maybe more ignition advance?
do they have diffrent pistons/cams/manifolds etc etc

or is it just bolt on stuff like manifolds. exhaust design/actuators etc etc

Mechanically the same except possibly the cams, ecu is mapped for higher ron fuel than uk, turbo is different (VF22 usually)to allow 280 ps at slightly lower boost.

so pistons etc etc are the same

so if the worst came to the worst and say i blew up my engine, i could replace it with a uk block and head and transfer over the wrx parts?

bit concerned about running a wrx, to be honest i dont know that much about them at the moment, and im trying to get "gen"`d up
