Default broken lambda+turbo=BANG!

hi all,

so, i finally have an answer to my low boost problem..

the previous owner must have had a lambda sensor fail and when it was changed the whole head of the sensor was missing..and they didn't think to check where it went!..most of it made it through the turbo, the rest stayed inside, took out most of the inner part of the exhaust vanes.

i found the lambda pieces but didn't find any bits of the vanes in the down pipe so assume they went through the cat or are stuck in there.

the pieces look like most of a denso lambda sensor head and the one fitted 'looks' new.

my question is..is there anything else these bits of metal could be? any other sensors pre turbo on the exhaust side that could have failed and caused this?

I dont want to put my new turbo in and have the same problem :S

Won't be that then lol!!!! There is a lambda in the collector part of the headers other than that there isn't anything else sensor wise!
