hi just swapped my ignition barrel on my impreza and swapped the chip over in my key and the car still wont fire the fuel pump is primeing it just wont fire im getting fault code 53 stuck as to what to do now.....

everything is the same as before apart from the barrel and key iv put my old chip in the new key so nothing has changed electrically iv disconnected the battery as im hoping it will just need to reset the ecu.........it fires then cuts out after it has used the fuel what the pump has primed.

 

Will the chip only fit in the key one way round? Its worth trying to switch it round. I have a nissan thats tempremetal at not recognising the chip
