Hawkeye fumes in cabin
Hi guys when my hawk is idling ie traffic lights and my fan/blower is opperating it seems there is a smell of fumes or something entering the cabin but with all turned off or with the recirculating button pressed nothing can be smelled,any ideas please cheers

That's hot in generalisation ( hot day , car been boosting a lot , city driving etc etc
/ it's impossible 2 diag from a computer / it' could be anything from a bulkhead bung missing so the engine is also venting to cabin / turbo - downpipe gasket etc etc / or it could be like I said , it's hot & u have an acute smell .

I sometimes get the same thing - couple of things:
Next time it does it pop the bonnet if its safe and have a look at the drivers side rocker cover look for any oil or smoke maybe that the gasket is leaking a little.
And if you have been driving it hard you may be getting a bit of oil carry over into the inlet can cause it to smell a bit - catch can is the only way around that that i know of.

I have had this smell now and again. I have no leaks at all and it only seems to happen on the odd occasion in traffic. I now think its outside smells from other vehicles rather than from mine. Another thing to remember though is stainless exhausts tends to leak a bit until there hot.
