Default Engine light on now

Hi I have a 2002 wrx bugeye, I've had to do a temp repair on the top radiator hose till new one arrives which I have done. I took the air box off and unplugged the maf sensor so I could get to hose easier., now I have put it all back together and the engine light is on. Any ideas why this has been left on or ways of getting it off.

Thanks

check you have plugged the maf back in properly or see if there is any issues with the connection.

Is the car running OK ? if so the light may well go off after about 5 starts as the ECU has detected a non-dangerous fault. Or have someone read the fault....

Did you turn the ignition on with it un plugged? disconnect the battery for an hour or 2 and try it again.

That will be why the ecu saw a fault. Should go out after a while

Disconnecting the battery won't re-set the ECU as the faults are stored on EPROM....
