OEM re-circ valve question.....
When I bought my WRX it had a VTA dump valve which I swiftly removed and replace with the OEM version
Now I am starting to pick up from various threads the STi and WRX have different re-circ valves. is this correct and if so what is the difference as the one I have was off of an STi.....
Cheers

I could be missing something, but I've looked through a few OEM parts catalogues and I can't see any difference between WRX and STi recirc valves.
The only thing you'll need to take in to account is the different mountings that different aged imprezas use to attach to the recirc valve intercooler, for instance an 05 recirc wont fit on to a classic and so on.

Hi iv got similar issue regarding DV.
Recently fitted bigger Sti tmic (think ver7) to my v reg 2000 turbo, not realising standard DV would not go back on until last minute so as a tempory thing went on eBay nearest 1st so could get out of a muddle and use car (baily atmospheric), but its doing my head in and want to go forge recirc, or maybe original.
Problem I have is the baily came with the wrong size bung, so I'm assuming this is due to age difference in car if I now order the v7 forge recirc will it all marry up pipe wise where it actually returns

Go with the original mate, there's no need for the Forge one - people I know have had problems with the Forge recirc not being up to the job on higher power applications.
I retained my OEM recirc with an adapter flange when I went FMIC - my car's running 400+bhp and I've had no issues with lumpy running, dodgy idle etc so would advise you stick with it.
