Default newage owners-show me your induction kits please

as above. I'm thinking of popping into rcm to get one of their induction kits for my blobeye, just wondered what everybody else is using and if they have had any problems with them?

and yes I do know it needs mapping after installation along with my new turbo/pump/injectors etc

I've got an HKS racing suction. Wasn't cheap at 250 quid, but gave me 28bhp after a remap. plus the sound it produces is awesome

K&N Typhoon , added 55hp with a turbo back decat , remap. Not sure how much of that gain is the K&N but it looks nice

shreksta my kit was fitted by matt olleys brother himself at RCM i asked him the same question and both him and his brother said to me i have nothing to worry about there is enough air reaching the air filter and that was 4 years ago now with no running issues on my car what so evergo for it its a nice bit of kit that works.SJ.

so you dont run any sort of ducting towards it then? do you get a bit of turbo noise like a dump valve through it (but not as chavvy as a dump valve)

forget those inner wing one's i know people do it but from every tuner i have ever spoken to about it told me not to waste my time with inner wing kits,i think the main problem is size (to small)and road contamination.SJ.

ha ha,no i dont run any sort of ducting and as i said before i have never experienced any kind of running problems not even on hot days.About the sound you get abit of waste gate chatter that is nice but when your really pressing the gas pedal its a induction ROAR that cant be beat.SJ.

mine is the regular size K&N that they supply with there kit which is big enough, the really big and long K&N air filters is the one's that people usually use with the rotated turbo kit's.SJ.

Hi there

As above we are not run too cold air feed and we are made 490bhp on 20% methanol, not sure if Cold air feed will release more power, but on our spec heads has been limiting factor

As I said before when I bought my car it had a Japspeed inner wing kit fitted which was pretty much mince meat when I checked it, rusty, damp, possibly my arches were not sealed very well but not the best place for an air intake in my experience.. Got one under the bonnet now with a cold air feed and seems to work pretty well.. RCM seem to be the one to go for!!

A large MAF inlet pipe and K&N filter sold by RCM but this is actually a BRD (sold under licence by RCM - BRD=Bob Rawle Developments) kit.

All fitted very neatly retaining the snorkel (cut down) and air ducted from front bumper also (fog lamp cover).

i m running kn typhoon thats wing feed, i ve had no troubles so far, but im gonna take a look at it next time i have some spare time on my hands to see what condition its in, all i know is it gives a lovely induction noise and u can hear the turbs through it. Although i am very weary of going through puddles
