just about to order a timing kit........dayco or gates?
just about to order this but am stuck on which belt to get. the gates belt is nearly £40 extra but is it really worth it?

also im gonna be ordering a roger clark water pump,do i need a gasket with this or not?

Gates get my vote,we are used this kit before,we are now will be using on our wagon Gates Kevlar
Probably worth to speak to Alyn@AS Performance about the best prices,I'm sure he selling whole kit for good price(including water pump etc)

Gates. The Gates kevlar is the same belt as the cosworth kevlar as gates make it for cosworth apparently. The normal Gates belt is very good and the same as OEM i believe.

cant see no option for a kevlar belt

40 quid be worth it if the other one snaps on ya! Gates are good belt i have standard one on mine.

Gates Racing Kevlar part number is T328RB and if you want whole kit including water pump,gaskets,idlers etc part number is TCKWP328

who is that part number for? what company? also how many idlers/tensioners/pulleys need replacing as i want to do the whole lot

Those are the Gates manufacturer part numbers mate
TCKWP328 is: 1 Belt, 1 Hydraulic Tensioner, 4 Idlers, 1 Water Pump

Just had mine delivered today from import car parts complete with water pump! I went for the gates belt just because of the threads on here.
