Default Oil change

Sounds silly but I heard a lot of people suffer from crank failure after a oil change or during one
What's best way to do oil filter change meaning do you disconnect camshaft sensor and turn it over So builds up oil pressure
Cheers

on my drive by wire i just press the throttle to the floor which stops the car firing, i just turn it over with the key for a few seconds to get the oil moving (also i pre fill the filter before install) saves taking sensors off!

Ditto.
ps I think this actually stops the fuel flow. I think it is an anti flooding measure.

If its a wire throttle just fill filter with oil and once ready to start remove crank sensor plug (under alternator) crank until light goes out and plug back in

What's the difference with cranking it after oil change so it starts than cranking with crank sensor off surely the oil will be doing the same running or not?

I don't know just asking that's all lol.

Thanks

id guess turning it over on the starter everything will be rotating a lot slower so lube demand is a lot less?

this will open a can of worms very soon...........
cranking it over without the starting builds up oil pressure, whether or not you need to do it will open up a lot of debate.

personally i do it as its easy to do and i have always done it on all my cars.

i use the method jay mentions above.

lol im always scared to post on "oil posts" as everyone has some debate on them lol would not say you need to unplug crank sensor but ive always done it, it just builds pressure up without the forces of combustion going on, for the sake of a few minutes to unplug, crank and plug back in, had a fair few subarus now and done this method every oil change.
