Default Problem after switching back to OEM recic

This morning I have just removed the VTA dump valve and fitted an OEM recirc one.

Acceleration is much better and smoother and gone are the pops and farts from the exhaust

however I have an issue where at the point where the old one would have expelled the air, the is almost the feeling over over boost an I have to lift off,

first thought was the valve was seized but it is free moving. so thats not the issue.

any thoughts ????

Cheers
Paul

Been out for another run and it seems to have settled down.

The only way I could describe it was almost like hitting a rev limiter

I had exactly the same with mine when I took the VTA off. Only for the first day or two. Exactly as you described. Then it just seemed to settle down and go away. Havent had it since and that was a few months ago. almost like the car needed a few miles to adjust to the OE valve! I'll dig out a link to my original post when I get home with some useful checks to carry out.

Cheers

Done about 120 miles today and it has all settled down and running sweet. Pulling like a train
