Default Please help, first time scooby owner.

Hello all last thursday I got my first scooby it's a 97 wagon with full turbo back with de cat, air filter usual mods. But when giving it some 3rd 4th and 5th gear at around 4000+ rpm feels like I've hit a wall but fine when I change gear again it's also fine when driving around normal don't over rev over heat ticks over nicely so what can be the reason? Cheers

I had the same problem when I had my first scooby, which was also a wagon 2000 turbo. It didn't have any mods though and think all it was was the boost sellonoid need cleaning with an airline. Took about 5 mins with someone who knew what there doing.

it needs a remap not "adjusting"
its overboosting due to not being remapped for the decat exhaust!!!!

how are you planning to "adjust" the boost?

Might be clutch slipping ? Mines just started to slip in 4th pulls as normal in lower gearing. Does engine go faster but car isn't ?.

"IT NEEDS A REMAP"

the car is overboosting and the fuelling needs adjusting too.

take the correct advice or guess and blow it up, the choice is yours

a good service will only help the car.

try a mobile mapper like dynamix or jolly green monster.

they will come to you and map it.
