Default late uk 2000

Got a 51 plate turbo 2000

Cold start is fine and idles fine but on warm start it drops revs to roughly 500 and hunts for around a bit before returning up to roughly 800.

Doesnt feel like its going to stall just a little bit of vibration.

I have a little video of it that i will put on youtube later.

The car has moved twice since beginning january, but since i insured it last tuesday its now used everyday. Had a little search for rough idling issues. Could it be the idle control valve need cleaning? Had a similar issue with a mx5 i had but it never really bothered me.

But now i got this, i really want to keep it running spot on.

If it is the MAF they are not exactly cheap.

I may be able to check with someone who is a friend of a friend.

If not then its going to scoobyclinic for a check over.

Hoefully be able to do that at the weekend if the weather ever picks up!

Just read a guide how to "read" the ECU codes. Is it as simple as once the light sequences have been shown to just unplug the connectors and turn the car on?

Hmm might be worth a try then. Doesnt seem to exspensive either which is a bonus.

Will clean the valve anyway, change plugs then if its still the same then check the lambda sensor.

Annoying little things caused by the smallest of parts!
