Default Help needed with u uk turbo 2000 v6

Is there anybody local to Burnley area who wouldn't mind plugging an apexi pfc ecu in to their car for me ? As I have a car which doesn't want to run for me !! I'd just like to rule out the ecu, as all was fine until the chap which I got the car from had bought a hand control. All went downhill from there.

Forgive me if I sound like a novice. "Which I'm not" lol. This is the reason the red and white wires have been reversed ?
I've not had a lot of dealings with apexi.
Car was running fine, until previous owner bought a hand controller, I've reset to base map but still won't run. It'll idle "just" as soon as throttle is touched it'll die! If u pump throttle it'll backfire into the intake. Timing is ok on belt, its quite puzzling. I don't have the original ecu to try either.
Thanks paddy

if the wiring isn't correct then it wont start at all so its not that, sounds possible MAF related, i would check its plugged in to start with and if not get a standard ECU to test and check for fault codes

ive tried maf and tps.
do you know if its possible to render the car useless via a hand controller?
ifso id imagine resetting to base map would rectify that problem.

its certainly possible to rescale the injectors so the car is so rich, it wont run when you touch the throttle

The base map is for an sti but it should idle on that year and drive but not be wonderfully safe to use as the timing map is fairly aggressive.

Have you tried with commander unplugged? Have seen the odd funny with commanders.

It has vf28 turbo. Front mount. Supposed forged engine built by nks performance. I spoke to kelvin and he confirmed it has. And that's it, as far as I can see there's nowt special.

Checked that Simon. I put a tmic just to be sure. Lol. It's not like an air leak. ?? Using the commander I can up the idle speed to 1250rpm but its as soon as you touch the throttle, it dies. I've crimped the return fuel pipe to eliminate fpr. Still same issue. I'd like to try a standard ecu just to check if it will run, also with a apexi ecu wouldn't the em light be perm illuminated if there was a sensor fault ? As when its ticking over there's no eml. ??

No, inlet pipe is good. It has a silicone aftermarket one fitted.
This is puzzling me now. It's typical, I have v1&2 and v3/4 and v7/8/9/10 cars in the garage to swap bits from. But no v5/6 !!!
Even if the I/c & inlet pipes were totally missing it should still rev a little ! Albeit very rough.
I've got chy coming on Monday to plug into it as my software is no good for apexi.
Another thing. It won't run at all unless on the airflow option there's 5 options. Ie super intake ect. It has to be on 5.option ??? Otherwise won't even tick over.

The apexi only uses maf. So no it would not rev or even start with no inlet pipe of intercooler hose

Do you think a faulty maf could cause this issue ?

I have, although second hand!! I was thinking wiring ? Would the apexi run whilst the maf is unplugged / or wiring damaged ?

Wont run unplugged ans not a valid test on original ecu but people seem to think it is.

So, I doubt the wiring is at fault. As its running "sort of" I think I'll still test the wiring for peice of mind.
Like I said I'm quite knowledgable regarding subarus in general. Just not clued up with the apexi
Rather puzzling is this,!
