Default decat downpipes

Ive gone through many threads on downpipes many to which seem to be very old so would like a more up to date information on it lol anyway my question is that does a downpioe affect the spool up of a turbo and/or does it affect the full boost it reaches at, I know its after the turbo but there seems to be o much stuff about back pressure required etc but I just dont get it? Also whats the best downpipe to use, divorced or bell mouth, thankyou all advice is appreciated

if you have gone through the old threads all the information you need will be there the law of physics dont change. less restriction=better flow.SJ.

Yes, as the gases are flowing more easily the spool up will be faster / more aggressive. You won't get any more boost though as the ECU determines this. I'd favour a bell mouth jobby, H&S are good

Hmm see ive got an 3" decat all the way, have a decat downpipe but its got two holes, could that cause a restriction? And I thought spool is only because of the headers and uppipe? And not anything after the turbo? This is what confuses me lol
