Default Rear diff issue yes/no?

Just had a ponder around the car stuck my head under and noticed my rear diff looking like this



Looks like oil over it is this normal? Sorry to sound daft never noticed it before

Quite normal mart tbho,the rear cover leaks as does the rear shaft seals over time/mileage

just make sure you keep an eye on the oil level.................
