Default Spluttering

Right I brought a Scooby and having problems with it
1. When first brought car was hitting boost cut because was running standard boost solenoid and some one had fitted a manual boost solenoid in same pipe work so put back to standard and started spluttering when building up boost
Also had equal length manifolds removed and fitted standard manifold that's when I noticed the most
