Default Oil Leak / Burnt oil Smell Blob wrx

Hi gents,

Recently had an occuring prob with oil smell after boost (i.e. not after none boost driving).

Read forums with resulted in changing driver side rocker cover gasket (inc half moons and plug gaskets), all gasket gooed up as well.

I cant see any leaks but still smelling burnt oil after a thrash - any ideas? FYI not noticable oil loss on dipstick.

Car is blob ppp wagon.

Thanks in advance
Si

Do you have, or could you fit an oil catch tank and observe?

I dont - also the drip must be hitting the exhaust hence the smell.

The fact it only occurs when i'm driving in a spirited nature - may be a clue but i'm no expert....

Any clues on what i can check would be useful and i'll get take a look.

Thanks

A quick read tells me its not easily accessible - either get to it from underneath after takng DP off or from the top after stripping turbo out. Ouch!

Any takers on an easier approach?
