Gearbox, brakes, suspension, turbo, injectors and maybe fuel pump.

Standard gearbox & clutch, Brakes, Suspension, ARB`s etc...?

Other than that its just injectors and turbo but you need to be able to stop it and make it round corners aswell, 400bhp in a classic is a handful

Get the simtek upgraded to alcatec first, then a bigger turbo and injectors should do it. Probably wise to add a fuel pressure regulator in the mix too.

What headers and up pipe you running?

Also theres a sticky at the top of this forum section that's useful information. https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...ing-guide.html

+1, have you been or driven a 400bhp classic? I own a turbo 2000 myself but they aren't the best base. I would have thought you would need either a strengthend 5 speed or a 6 speed for over 350bhp reliably

The jump from 300 to 400 is a very costly one, I know Iv done it. If I did it again I'd go straight for 500+ as it won't cost you that much more & once you hit 400 you'll want more.

im running a std 5 speed gearbox on 400bhp and its fine, it all depends how you dive !!

just stick some 650cc injectors and a bigger turbo - td05 20g, md321v-t. and away you go, thats what ive done and everything else is std, fun to drive lol

Its the torque and launching that kills them, Not to mention brutal gear changes, If you`re mechanically sympathetic you might get away with it.....

For a while

It will eventually blow up though, not built to handle that much power although its the torque figure your looking at, I ran mine at around 400 for a while on the type r box but changed to save blowing it up
