Default Urgent oil light help needed

Hi There,
Got a 2002 bug and the oil light is staying on when I start the car but it has oil, it got low but not to bad. The light when you first turn the ignition is bright but when it starts (straight away) it stays on but very dimly.
Anyone had this experience or know what the cause may be?
Thanks

Sounds like faulty sender or earth.
Check the sender is plugged in ok. Its under the alternator.

Cool, will have a look. I also have a squeal from the alternator belt, would this possibly have something to do with it?

Belt is lose. It could be so loose its hit the wire i guess.
Tensioner is on the side of alternator.
