The new garrett gtx turbo series
Hi I was wondering if some one has already fitted the new garrett gtx turbo and can tell me if it is alot better than the gt-series.
I have got a jdm sti bugeye with a gt3076 turbo and 1000 inj and mapped with antilag and launch control.
I am getting the engine rebuilt even though it is running really good. I“m thinking of a gt35 or upwards. Aim is over 600 bhp, more 700ish
Last week I had a chat with the specialist about them and of course he said they are a lot better

Hi there
Many people went with ScoobyClinic SC GT30r or GT35r(both of them are billet) which seems working very well and making promised power
I've looked on several turbo options, like on SC GT30/35r or Lateral Performance GT30/35r Billet and non billet version plus on Borg Warner S300FMW series
New GTX series is billet version and looking like they're making promised numbers, but still would speak with Kev@ScoobyClinc or Mark@Lateral Performance about their turbo options
Here is ScoobyClinic thread about their SC range, but I would PM here Kev(The Gaffer)

In my experience of them, the Scoobyclinic Billet 35R turbo spools faster than the GTX version of the same unit.
The will both do in excess of 600bhp on VPower on a well specced car, but getting the head and cam choices right is a must.
Ideally you'll need flowed heads with 1mm larger valves on at least the exhaust side but preferably both. Cams go for either Cosworth 278/274 or Kelford 272.

Hi Corky, running good, thank“s, how“s life up in huddersfield and regards to tez.
The motor is to be honest fast enough but to be on the safe side I would like to rebuild with even stronger parts, my mate builds racing engines as a profession and likes the bugeye tez built. Back to the thing while building might as well do the full thing, I want to be one of the fastest on the nurburgring.
I talked to a guy from "turbozentrum.de" at the essen motor show, thats why I wanted to know if anyone had any information. Regards to huddersfield, cheers mate.
@jura
thanks mate for the link

Fine thank you, I will send your regards.
As Jura and Martyn said above, Martyn is IMO the best engine builders in uk aka 'engine tuner' so the advise given there would be worth it.
Hope you and the family are ok and I bet you're wife is loving you even more now lol
