Can anyone tell me am I wasting my time putting this in my wrx that started itself live in Cyprus as have seen somewhere that the ecu might be set up to take lower Ron rated petrol

not wasting your time or money no.

The ecu will retard timing on less quality fuel but its not ideal and it will run best on higher ron fuel like vpower..

I would choose in order of preference vpower, tesco99, esso97 and avoid bp ulitmate as subaru engines really dont tend to like it.

Simon, what power LOSS would anyone see on being remapped to run on 97, instead of V-Power? And on standard 95?

Many variables on car spec to answer with an exact number.

Probably 99 to 97ron about 12-15hp and 99 to 95rom 30hp.

As the number of Shell stations within 30 miles of me reaches zero, as Tesco is STILL completely unreliable for Momentum and as France is going to completely phase out 98 octane fuel over the next couple of years, the case becomes more pressing for a remap
