Default Equal Length Headers Joint Question

Just wondering - got a set of Hayward and Scott equal length headers which I bought of the members market second hand, just wondering how the 'slip joint' is held together? Is it meant to be spring loaded or..? Thanks

Francis

A slip joint is just that, it's allows for expansion and doesnt need springs or anything elseto keep it together as in this case its confined between two fixed point (cylinder heads).

The double wall tube that the other part slides into is designed to prevent leaks.
