Default Oil Pressure

Hi there. I've got a 2005 hawkeye sti on 30,000 with a full aps 3" decat exhaust. Asp induction. Fuel pump remap and it's running bout 350 bhp 350 torque. It's normally used 5 out of 7 days but today was the first time I've used it to day in about 5 days. And when I started it the oil pressure light on the dash went off on start up as normal but the pressure on the defi took longer than normal to build up. I only noticed as the defi warning came on. But once built up was fine. Could it be a sticky gauge or sender. Or could oil pump be on its way out. Or is it normal if the car not been used and its getting colder. As I said the oil light on the dash went off as normal

Thanks a lot.
James

Did the pressure fluctuate once it was running? Could be evidence of a cracked oil pick up pipe.

What sort of fluctuation is considered normal?

My Defi fluctuates by about 0.2-0.4 bar.

It wasn't fluctuating before I replaced the T-loom adaptor with a Y-connector in order to have both the OE low pressure sender and Defi connected.

Its a sump off job to remove the oil pickup pipe to see if its fractured.

Sounds fine, pick up pipe issue is rare. Cold weather will have an effect.
