Default ABS Light?

Hi all, My ABS light has come on and the car is due its MOT next week. I know it is a failure is there anything simple I can check before it goes in?

Right then mate, same as mine.
Up above the pedals where the diagnostic connectors are for the ecu, there is another connector, it's black and bigger than the ecu ones.

It has a large plug on it, and a jumper cable that comes off it.

Find this, and hold the connector so that the clip is at the top.

Push the jumper cable into pin 6, if your holding it the correct way then pin 6 is bottom right.

Turn ignition on and it will flash the abs light with a fault code the same way you do ecu codes.

To reset the abs codes, you put the jumper cable into pin 6 and out again in quick succession approx 6 times and hey presto

No problem fella.
Mine were still taped up in the loom a lot higher than the ecu plugs, may take some digging round , but it is up there.

I reclined the drivers seat, and lay on it with my head in the drivers footwell

Mine came on when I replaced the tail lights with LEDs.

Not replaced any lights mate. Haven't tried it yet Steve hopefully tomorrow
