Hi guys I have been given a version 1 classic estate will I be able to swap the engine and loom into my bugeye gx without major issues I have the both cars is it a case of just swapping over and working out the loom

Pretty much the entire car, its easier to just buy one outright that runs.
Also it will increase your insurance, it normally goes up more than the cost of a standard wrx.

I have motor trades insurance just wanted the bug to have more power and something to do at the weekends just don't wanna start if I'm gonna get stuck

It really isnt worth it, you will need all the running gear, the engine you want to put in is the weakest of the lot (phase 1), you will need suspension, gearbox, clutch, brakes etc, its been done but for what you can buy a wrx for it really isnt worth the hassle.

Some trade policies will not cover performance cars or modified ones. Just sell the bits off the free one and sell yours. Combine the cash together and just buy a bugeye wrx
