Default Where to fit ?????

I've just brought a exhaust temp gauge to go with the rest of my defi's but unsure the best and easiest place to fit the sensor for it
Can anyone help

Headers are the most reliable place, but you can also use the downpipe

Thanks for the reply. I just want the easiest place that involves the least taking apart. I no I've got to drill a hole for it and weld a plate on to fit it. I want to try do it my self. Hence the easiest place lol

Depends on your setup,
If your using decat down pipe I'd put it in the down pipe!
To put it in the headers sounds like a lot more dis assembly to me.....

To be of proper use it needs to go in the headers or as close as possible in order to get more accurate egt,s
Going post turbo is not the best place unless you're using it for show

I'm running a full decat system. I think I may have to get someone to install the sensor for me as not looking as easy to do as first though

It doesn't matter if it's decat or not really mate , the closer you go to the motor the more accurate the temp

If on a ramp , is it easy to get the headers off. It's on a hawkeye by the way
