Default Best intake pipe for a 20G

Hello, I have a v4 STI type R with a forged 2.5 conversion with the following mods
FMIC
Harvey Smith 20G
550cc injectors
ADJ FPR running standard pressure
RCM induction kit (still running maf)
Turbosmart vee port BOV
3 inch turbo back system
Apexi power fc

I'm still on the running in map at the moment but have done over a thousand miles so have started to give it a bit more revs and boost upto 0.5 bar but am suffering with surge and when cruising on throttle lift off i get a judder through the car every now and then. I also get the pigeon coo from the filter when releasing the throttle which i think is normal.
Now i was wondering if the problems were down to a poorly matched intake pipe as i'm using a japspeed silicone pipe which to be fair is a funny shape instead of a true straight through pipe?
I just want to get everything running right ready for when i get the final map done.
Thanks in advance!
James

Hi James

Many people and tuners/mappers regarding as best Viper/Perrin intakes just due they will not collapse under boost,we are run before custom inlet pipe, which never collapsed

I'm still not convinced with cheap inlet pipe, which can collapse under boost, you are now running just 0.5bar,we are run before cheap inlet pipe which has been OK at 1.5bar

Somewhere here is thread about the Eclipse inlet which collapsed under boost...

Cheers Jura, i'm wondering wether the intake design is poor or wether my dumpvalve is the problem, I've set it to the hardest setting but still surges on and off and i can see the boost gauge fluctuating.
Could running without a dumpvalve be a possible cure?

I'll have to find a blanking plug and i'll give it a go and see what happens.
One other thing was the juddering when coming off throttle when cruising, its not all the time but is that due to excess air not being dumped correctly?
If i release throttle quickly it wont do it but it will happen if its more of a gradually release of the throttle.

Are tried different spring?

Try blanking off DV and you will see if its OK or if this persist or is going to worse
