Default Rough idle

Ok, iv had problems with my scoob from day 1 but put them all right apart from 1, which nobody can figure out.

My cars a 2003 wrx ppp, its got a k&n on nd thats about it.

What the problem is, when i plug my maf sensor conector in, the car runs like a dog, splutters, jerky etc, trys to cut out and sometimes in limp mode.

When i unplug the maf conector it runs 100 times better but obv throws alot of codes up. But it sumtimes boosts to about 20psi, which i asume isnt right.

Iv replaced the maf sensor, and the conector, and its the same. Checked for leaks, cant find any!

I got the car on the diagnostics at my local garage, they told me my 2nd lambda sensor was dead, so iv replaced that also, but still the problem!

Really gettin on my nerves, as the cars waiting to be tuned and i cant do anything til its 100%

PLEASE, SOMEBODY HELP ME

any thoughts that it may be the wiring back to the ecu from the maf.

each wire has 2 ends.... just a thought.

Just been reading up on this, and a few people say that induction kits can mess up the maf sensor causing the car to run lean, iv bought a standard airbox and cosworth pannel filter so im goin to have a go at fitting that tonight.

If any1 in the area fancys givin me a hand wud be helpful haha

Put the standard air box etc on the car, still running like a dog, with the maf plugged in, plus its alot more jerky as if its got a leak!!!!

Take off the indution kit and replace it with a standard air box and high flow filter, the problem with the induction kit is it changes the way the air flows past the maf so it throws the scalings out hence rough idle and running issues as it does not meter the air correctly.

Was the MAF new, was it genuine? Used or cheap MAF may be no good. Check again for an air leak try and get a smoke pro test done to find any air leaks.

The maf i put on was a brand new denso!!
The car judders under boost wen the maf is conected, but throws no codes!

Wen i unplug it, it throws heat sensor codes and airflow

I'd really be looking for a serious air leak now.

U have to have it mapped when u put the 3 port on or u may have more to worry about than a rough idle. Phone drew he might still have some 3 ports left. There not Perrin but there half the price.

Don't c how they can be the best mate. Unless someone has tested them. Al check the make av got. Sure it the ones pro drive use. Ehm think exhaust might be ok but as a precaution ad wait and get it all done at the same time.
