Get 27 to a tenner myself... which is about right.... I think.... 340bhp.

However when the car is back on wednesday I will be running nearer 450bhp... this might impact it!

It's not that sensor(that's there for cat efficiency) , its the front o2 that could be causing you issues, any CEL's.

the early classics have the lambda in the exhaust manifold the later ones in the top of the down pipe before the cat.

Mine is a 2000 uk model not had it long, but put £40 in it been to scooby clinc and clocked up 140 mile, and i still have alittle more left in it, so i was quite pleased with that. Perhaps that tapping noise helps mpg lol.

While i was at scooby clinc, i was talking to a lad who has just had a £4000 engine rebuild bill for not checking his oil on his 04 plate sti. He was selling it when finished has he said he drives it mad everywhere and only gets 70 miles to the tank.

Thats defo not right, my uk was great on fuel and mapped to around 300bhp
My ra even when it had is short ratio 5 speed was getting about 70-80 to £20 and thats with 342bhp so something not right, moneys on lambda or coolant temp sensor.

Sorry its off thread but @sonic93

Closed deck block, marley pistons, uprated rods, cosworth timing kit, rcm crank, rcm pullies, fmic, MD321t turbo, 550cc injectors, SC filter, uprated oil pump and a few other little pieces. Only running a single plate hyper so 400 to 450 will be about as far as it should go, not to mention standard box in it! pick up tonight, excited not the word!

Bring on the single figure mpg!
