Default S.E.C.S Engine Data Moniter Help/Info

Hello all

When i baught my scoob 2 weeks ago it has one of these , S.E.C.S Engine moniter's installed i the dash board, i havnt had a good look at it yet but it dosnt seem to power up at all.
Has anybody ever come across one of these, and know if they are any good? There isnt much about them on the internet, i found a bit about them on the old scoobyworld website... (http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/trolleyed/9/)
It looks like its just a plus and play type thing...

Cheers

Matt

It should just power up when plugged into the OBDII port under the dash.

Update- i unscrewed the plugbthat goes into the obdII port and made sure everything was in place, and cleaned the pins on the plug and cleaned the port and it has powered up, j have had a litle play about with it but with no instructions i dont want to go too mad. Can messing about with this change settings with the ecu and engine management or is it something that cant really effect it too much? Just dont wan F it up. Many thanks matt

There were 2 basic types of SECS, earlier LCD types which just read data from the ECU and could do a re-set......

And a second flourescent display type with a lot more functions.

Chalk and cheese really, so you need to work out which one you have
