Default sc 36 & sc 38

Im currently running a 2004 blob sti with stock vf 35. If i was to upgrade to either a sc 36 or sc 38 would i need to upgrade the injectors or anything else ie intercooler? Any help would be appreciated

not much of an upgrade from vf35 to sc36, sc38 is twin scroll isn't it? which would be a whole different ball game to fit

Best bet, ring clinic and have a chat, they will be able to advise what the best turbo for the application is and what supporting mods you'll need.

i believe both come in twinscroll aswell as single? might be wrong on that.

Either way both will spool very well and you should in theory get better bhp from both over your VF35, you should also be fine with your sti pinks upto around 380bhp (if you have them on that is)

the sc38 would give you more power though so defo a worthwhile upgrade if you have other supporting mods

anything more then the SC38 would probably involve new injectors or FPR , FMIC , tubular headers, decat etc if not already, your then also approaching new clutch terriroty i should imagine.

currently looking at the SC38 myself

Rite ok. It shud have the pink injectors on mine shudnt it? So they would be ok to use with either turbo you reckon? I assume they are just direct bolt on with no modifications to make it fit? If i had 1 fitted could you drive it without a map untill i could save up to get it mapped?

sorry yes just seen you have an 03 sti so you will have sti pinks.

you will benefit massively from a set of ported headers and matched upipe at this power level.

you should not drive around until you have the money to get mapped, save the money up and get it all fitted and mapped at same time.

Could you drive it to a local mapper or would you have to get someone out to do the mapping?

I am sure if you spoke to Kev at Scoobyclinic he could do you a good deal on a drive in drive out package.
