Default Hot weather

My car's been sitting in the office car park all day, it's been about 28 degrees here. I turned my wrx sti on and for some reason the check engine light was on.. it's gone now but was a little concerning.

It was genuinely like a sauna inside the car though; I'm not sure what to expect though, the car is in such good condition and I can't remember the last time I drove hard so I can't imagine it being anything serious.

Possibly just the engine breathing in very hot air on start up, leaving it thinking WTF was that all about?!!!

I've just had a look at the diagnostics, it's reading as a knock sensor error code.

No idea how it had a knock, I can't remember when I last booted it, lol..

Just to let people know, I always put tesco99 in, or shell vpower, I drive to and from work most days which is about 5 miles away so I don't really get chance for it to warm up so no boost! I tend to travel home at weekends so it gets an hour and half of 70-80mph. Oil changes every 5,000miles and changed spark plugs 2,000 miles ago.

Ah, right, I was just concerned, thought I had engine failure at 60,000miles! :-(
