Default Struggle on startup?

I've noticed recently that when starting up the car for cold it initially struggles to start then coughs and fires up. It's not a massive issue but wondered what might be causing this Ignition issue perhaps?

Spec is,

04 wrx
VF34
550 injectors
STI TMIC
Full decat (2.5)
Walbro fuel pump
Simtek ecu
APS Induction
HKS SSQV

Only been mapped a few months ago. It does only have standard spark plugs also.

Fuel filter ok? Have you check to see of pump primes correctly and is it noisy?

Has it always been like that as this is a common problem with the Simtec & will be sorted out on the new update. Alternatively the mapper needs the car overnight to Set up the cold start.

Yeah perhaps a call to the mapper is in order.

It has been like this since the simtec install along with the turbo and so forth...just took it as normal.

Fuel pump seems noisy enough, ( I assume that's good? ) does smell a lot richer now since the map and install.

Battery is new also.

Thanks for the info guys.

Possibly the plugs then, I know the distance between the anode and cathode need to be set different with these mods so possibly worth investing in a decent set.
